Emily Cumming // Director
Emily is a photographer and filmmaker with a passion for documentary storytelling. She loves talking to new people and learning all about their unexpected personal stories. Emily has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Gerrit Reitveld Academie in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and is a former Intern at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, Italy. Emily is also a video editor at Secret Location where she specializes in stitching, compositing and editing video for 360 VR films, such as Under the Net.
Anna Cooley // Cinematographer
Anna Cooley began world building while playing in her parents art studio in Calgary, Canada. She discovered the family handi-cam at the age of 10 and has been making films ever since. Anna loves working with other artists while exploring new technologies to tell exciting stories. She was chosen for the inaugural Academy Apprenticeship for Women Directors, which took her to Toronto to work with the Secret Location content development team on both their narrative and location-based VR games. Through her own production company Erratic Pictures, Anna has directed, written, produced and shot numerous commercials and short documentary projects. Her multi-award winning feature documentary A Sauropod Abroad premiered in 2016. Her short narrative film Sleepwalker was awarded funding through STORYHIVE and released on Telus Optik in 2017. She is currently developing a narrative VR web series and writing feature screenplays. Anna loves thoughtful composition and enjoys shooting documentary and experimental films. Her cinematography credits include A Love Letter to my Unborn Child and Saturdays. She leverages her years of experience as a IATSE Local 212 member working in Props, Set Decoration and the Art Department, as well as her experience as Production Designer on short films and web series. Anna teaches filmmaking through several programs including Film Connection through the RRFC and the Calgary Society of Independent Filmmakers.
Raj Dhillon // Producer
Raj Dhillon has been producing in the marketing and production industries since the early 2000s. She has a fully integrative approach, aware of the needs of every discipline from finance to production, to post-production and delivery. She is always keeping her all-seeing eye on things without getting all up in everyone’s business. In fact, she might know your project better than you do. She won’t brag about it though. Raj lives and works in Toronto now, but she’s got the west coast in her soul so sit back and relax because when you work with Raj, it doesn’t feel like work at all.
